Safe Routes to School is a proud sponsor of Creston Elementary School! They support our Walk and Roll Days and have awarded Creston Elementary School over $800.00 in grant money to support our ongoing health and safety efforts!

Farmers Market

At Creston Elementary School we are fortunate enough to have a supportive GARDEN CLUB who help our students learn through engaging, real-world experience about the process of nutrition education. From planting a seed to selling a product, students take a lead roll in their learning!

Chicken Coop

Creston's 2nd grade class visiting our chicken coop and learning how to care for and utilize the resources provided to us by our coop!

KinderGarden

Our TK and Kindergartener love Garden Club and beginning creating a sense of how to care for themselves and the world around them, while supporting their understand of the Next Generation Science Standards!

Worm Bins

Students in grades TK- 5th grade learn about Vermicomposting. From the process of decomposition to creating a mixture of vegetable and food waste, bedding materials.

 

 

 

Lighthouse After School

Students, TK-5th grade, worked with our Earth Genius Representative as they participated in advanced garden work helping design a " food forest" layout with fruit trees, berries, and grapes for ongoing food production.
