At the Atascadero Unified School District, we have two school options for 6th-8th grade.
Students can attend Atascadero Middle School for all common core academic subjects or Fine Arts Academy for an added focus on arts-based specialty classes each afternoon after morning academic classes.

Exploratory Wheel
Atascadero Middle School's Exploratory Wheels give students the opportunities to discover interests in a variety of fields. Some fields students currently enjoy are Digital Media Arts, Greenshop Construction & Design, Computer Programming, and Engineering.

Atascadero Fine Arts Academy
Academics
At the Atascadero Fine Arts Academy, classroom teachers lead core instruction in reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, and PE each morning. Additional academic support classes are available in the afternoon for students who would like the opportunity to devote additional time strengthening new concepts that are being introduced in class.
