TB Clearance is a requirement of your AUSD employment.
Employees are responsible for ensuring that they have official
TB Clearance Certificates on file with the district.

For AUSD Staff

This information is meant to give you a quick overview of what is expected when your TB clearance is approaching expiration. While your TB expiration and new clearance is overseen by AUSD Human Resources, the actual clearance, is handled through AUSD Nursing Services. This means you do not need to drive to a doctor’s office or clinic  to have the clearance done. Rather, your certification can be managed by seeing an AUSD Public Health Nurse virtually on regularly scheduled clinic dates.

  • Currently, state TB clearance certifications last for four years before renewal is required.
  • Employees who have previously had positive TB test results will be on an annual symptom review schedule rather than the four-year.
