PTSA Board
Veronica (Roni) DeCoster is serving her second term as President of Fine Arts Academy PTSA this year. Her PTA career began in 2008 at Santa Rosa Academic Academy, where she served as Membership Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary, and also founded and chaired their Health & Wellness Committee. Since coming to Fine Arts in 2015, she has been PTSA's Treasurer and now President, while chairing Penny Wars for the last three years.
Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Roni relocated to SLO County after graduating college in 1987. She and her husband moved to Atascadero in 2002. They have been married going on 28 years and together have two daughters: an 8th grader at Fine Arts, and an 11th grader at AHS. When she's not otherwise occupied with PTSA, Roni keeps busy working as a freelance paralegal, serving as Treasurer for CAPS (Committee for Atascadero Public Schools), and writing children's books (though she remains pre-published as of yet).
Roni loves Fine Arts Academy and its teachers, administrators, staff, and students. With its private school atmosphere and close-knit feel, it is truly a special school. Her favorite thing is walking through campus in the afternoon and hearing drums beating out a rhythm, ukuleles strumming a tune, and singers breathing melodies into the air. In those moments, she knows she couldn't have chosen a better fit for her daughter. It will be a sad day come June, when her daughter is promoted to high school, but until then...Here's to another great year at Fine Arts Academy!
Carrie White currently serves as the Social Media Chair on the PTSA Executive Board. She and her husband Wade have one child who attends Atascadero Fine Arts Academy; William, who is in fourth grade. Their daughter Wren is in second grade at San Benito Road Elementary School. Carrie has been an active member of PTA since William was in transitional kindergarten in 2014/2015. Carrie is also the President of the 24th District PTA, on the Executive Board of CASA SLO County and works full time as the Executive Assistant to the CEO at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center. Carrie is very proud to dedicate her time as a volunteer to help enrich the school experience for all the students at Atascadero Fine Arts Academy. She knows that it takes a village to raise a child and is honored to be a part of yours!
